Portable jade testing equipment comes onto the market

The new product of jewelry test series of 2011 of Skyray Instrument, MIR3043P, protable jade testing equipment is now supplied on the market. 
In the jewelry industry , Skyray Instrument now has seven types of testing instruments ,such as x-ray fluorescence spectrometer instrument EDX860D , x-ray fluorescence spectrometer 600 , and EDX880 universal precious metal detector and so on. They can identify the contents of the gold, plantinum and silver, palladium, copper , zinc ,and nickel. These instruments is widely used by gold and precious stones testing organazations of China at all levels , scientific research institutions, and manufacturing and processing enterprises.
MIR3043P is a portable spectral instrument which is special for jade testing of A and B types of goods. It can realize the fast apprasial to bracelets, jade plates and other accessories. And its core competitive points are as follows:
Break the traditional jade identifying methods 

In jewelry industry, jade is commonly divided into 3 types: A , B and C. In which “Type A” is the natural jade , without any artificial chemical processing. “Type B” refers to jade that is immersed in strong acid and solidified with organics. And “Type C” refers that the jade is true ,but the color is with artificial processing.

The traditional identifying methods mainly depend on refraction meter, the gem microscope ,the filter and the beam splitter. These methods can identify the C types easily, but they are too hard for the identifying of “Type B”.

The portable jade testing equipment, MIR3043P, which is researched and developed by Skyray Instrument, breaks the traditional identifying method, using infrared spectrum analysis principle, ready to identify A and B types of jades. And it only takes 10-60 seconds and will not bring any damage to the sample. “According to international GBT-16553-2003 jewelry identification, ‘Type B’ has strong absorption peaks in 2800-3200cm, so by examing whether having the strong absorption peaks can identify the A , B types of goods.”

The distinguish rate of false goods accounts to 100 percent

MIR3043P portable jade testing instrument is with high precision when doing qualitative test to the jades. And numbers of laboratory tests show that the distinguish rate of false goods accounts to 100 percent.
For the first time MIR3043P employs variable wavelength filter technology into the analysis test equipment. The varialbe wavelength filter equipment uses the fabry-perot interferometer principle (FPI) : when changing distances of the optical band gap , the distance of the transmission light will also change. Plus the application of microelectromechanical technology, so as to realize the mininaturization of instrument. 
In addition, the employment of high luminous efficiency of infrared light, high sensitivity pyroelectric infrared sensors, and digital demodulation technology ensure the precision and reliablity of the test data.
