On August 23, Skyray’s Portable XRF Analyzer won the tender of “Environment Monitoring Instrument Purchase Project of Yunnan Provincial Environmental Protection Bureau Purchase Project".
Skyray has sold 15 sets of portable XRF analyzer for the soil monitoring of 15 municipal monitoring stations in Yunnan Province. The topography in Yunnan is rather complex, with canyon and basin all around, therefore, the soil monitoring proposes higher demand on the portability, accuracy and stability of detecting instruments.
Portable XRF Analyzer is especially designed for outdoor heavy metals detection, featured by portability, accuracy, rapidness and intelligence etc. it is able to analyze heavy metals like Pb, Hg, Cd, Cr, As, with performance comparable to desktop instrument. It is small, light, and easy to operate.
The another strength of applying portable XRF analyzer on outdoor onsite in situ analysis is its high level of intelligence, which is designed for large scale soil pollution detection, to do onsite automatic tracing, positioning and screening effectively.
Skyray’s self-developed portable heavy-metal analyzer has been utilized by National Environmental Monitoring Center, Environment Planning Institute and some provincial environmental monitoring stations. On July 9, 2011, in the TV program News Probe of CCTV, the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, CAS has investigated the blood lead pollution event in Lingbao County of Henan Province with Skyray’s portable heavy metal analyzer.
