From June 5 to 6, 2012, China Food and Agricultural Products Quality & Safety Testing Technology Exhibition & Forum （CFAS 2012） was opened at Beijing International Convention Center, which was held by Analytical Instrument TC and Agricultural Instrument Application Technology TC of China Instrument and Control Society. The topic of this forum is “constructing food safety assurance system of China, further promoting the wide application of food & agricultural product testing technology, perfecting food & agricultural product quality control system”. Many leaders from food & agricultural administration authorities and scholars in food quality control field attended the forum. Skyray Instrument’s president Liu Zhaogui was invited to make special report on the convention.
In the report named “The Development of Skyray Mass Spectrometer and Its Application in Food Safety”, Dr. Liu stated: “food safety is critical to human health, while testing technology and scientific instrument is the technical guarantee for food and agricultural product safety. The frequent occurrence of food safety events urges skyray to increase input in the R&D of food safety testing and monitoring. At the beginning of 2012, Skyray launched three kinds of mass spectrometer whose performance indicators have been recognized by specialists in this field. Right now, Skyray MS Team has conducted numerous example researches in the respect of food safety test of the three instruments and drawn several resolutions for plasticizer, pesticide residue and Sudan red, etc.
Dr. Liu Attended the Forum and Made Special Report
Meanwhile, Skyray attended the Exhibition with several food safety testing instruments, among which, three new mass spectrometers, Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer 6800, Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer 1000 and ICP-MS 2000 Sequential Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer make their debut in Beijing, becoming the spot of exhibition site. Wang Limin, director of the Department of Consumer Goods Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the Republic of China (MIIT), Guo Xiang, director of Food Department of MIIT, the academician Jin Guofan of Tsinghua University, professor Jiang Shiqiang of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science, Yan Chengde, the director general of Analytical Instrument TC of China Instrument and Control Society, Wu Youhua the secretary general of China Instrument and Control Society and other experts came to the exhibition stand of Skyray, viewed Skyray’s food safety analyzers and offered their support and encouragement to us.

The two-day exhibition attracted the attention of over 600 specialists and customers in food safety field, many of who asked questions about instruments’ performance, index and application and received detailed answers from Skyray’s staff.
On the exhibition, Skyray’s MS series products are highly applicable in food and drug analysis, delivering excellent testing result on various trace metal elements. Moreover, AAS series atomic absorption spectrometer and AFS 200 series atomic fluorescence spectrometer introduce several skyray’s patents, which can be widely applied in food and drug analysis, having good detection effect on Pb, Hg, Cd, Zn etc.
