On June 8, the 2012 Seminar on Technology of Geologic Experiment and Testing Analytical Technology, jointly held by Geological Society of Hunan, Analytical Test Special Committee of GSH, Changsha Mineral Resource Supervision and Testing Center of the Ministry of Land and Resource of the People’s Republic of China, was held in Changxin Hotel, Changsha City. The seminar was presided over by Tang Jian, the Marketing Director of Skyray Instrument. Yu Zhengdong, Skyray’s vice general manager, attending the seminar with Skyray technical team, made technical report on site.
Jiang Xigen, the chief engineer of Hunan Geological Exploration Bureau, Li Fenghui, the director of Market Development Division of Hunan Non-ferrous Metal Geological Survey Bureau, Yi Xiaoming, the director of Changsha Mineral Resource Supervision and Test Center of the Ministry of Land and Resource of the People’s Republic of China, Hu Qiujun, the general secretary of Geological Society of Hunan and over hundred guests from Hunan Geological Exploration Laboratory and mine laboratory in all levels of Hunan Province attended the seminar. Centering on geological prospecting and geological sample testing, the seminar discussed the legal norm of geological test, the problems and solutions facing geological laboratory.

Hu Qiujun, the general secretary of Geological Society of Hunan addressed that geological test is an important technique of scientific geological research and exploration, providing technical support for the development of geological exploration, mineral resources appraisal and geologic environment. He expected that this seminar may intensify the communication on geological testing and analytical technologies and promote the development of geological exploration in Hunan.

Yu Zhengdong, Skyray’s vice manager introduced frequently-used analyzing technologies and instruments in geological exploration in his report named “the Application of New Analytical and Testing Technologies in Geological Exploration”. “As a common analytical means, XRF is widely used in geological exploration, ore dressing and smelting process. The geological and mineral exploration instruments developed by Skyray are divided into two categories: Portable Field Analysis and Desktop Laboratory Assistance. The former provides data support for field geological analysis and prospecting; the latter does qualitative and quantitative analysis for prospecting and smelting process”, he said.
Senior application R&D engineer of Skyray Wu Min, Luan Xudong made reports named “The Discussion on Analytical Technology and Instrument in Geological Laboratory” and “The Realization of Real-time Online Detecting and Analyzing Technology in Mining Production” respectively, discussed and shared Skyray’s latest achievement in geological and mineral analytical technology with participants.
