On March 3rd, 2012, appraisal meeting of “new products of Skyray mass spectrometer series”was organized by analytical instrument branch of China Instrument and Control Society in a meeting room of second-floor in Skyray industry park.
Numerous famous academicians and experts from China took part in the appraisal committee. After listening carefully to the project report, examining the related technical materials, inspecting and querying on the spot ,they gave the three new Skyray mass spectrometers( GC-MS6800 gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer, ICP-MS 2000 inductive coupling plasma mass spectrometer, LC-MS 1000 liquid chromatogram mass spectrometer) fair and objective comments.
Expert Committee deemed:
The measurement quality range, resolution, measurement repeatability of GC-MS6800 gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer all have reached the requirements of national standard of JJF1164-2006, which could be applied in fields of food safety, environment detection, industrial analysis.
The measurement quality range, resolution, measurement repeatability of ICP-MS 2000 inductive coupling plasma mass spectrometer have reached the requirements of national standard of JJF1159-2006,which could be used in testing fields of geological mineral, metallurgical mineral, nuke industry, environment detection, food safety and industry.
The measurement quality range, resolution, measurement repeatability of LC-MS 1000 liquid chromatogram mass spectrometer have reached the various requirements(temporarily no related national standard), which could be used in food safety, environment detection and industrial analysis.
Numbers of software and hardware technologies of the three mass spectrometers filled the domestic gaps;
The three mass spectrometers products have got the prerequisites of promoting into the market.
The three submitted mass spectrometers projects have had an excellent preparation in the preliminary work foundation and they have built a specialized research team, becoming one of promising companies in this field in China.

Liu Changkuan, the secretary-general of the analytical instrument branch of China Instrument and Control Society, presided the meeting. Academicians Wang Guibin and Chen Hongyuan were the chairman and vice chairman respectively of the meeting.
The meeting was divided into four phases. At the beginning, manufacturers had a speech and reported their research results; later, they had an on-site investigation on the functions of the products; then, experts put up with queries and reviewers had a discussion; finally, the expert group read out their comments of the review.
Dr. Liu Zhaogui, the chairman of Skyray Instrument expressed in his opening speech that 5 years ago Skyray had firmly begun the research project of mass spectrometer and met various difficulties during those years. While the Skyray people never gave up, they cooperated with each other day in and day out and conquered many technical obstacles. Today, we have achieved primary fruits at the sacrifice of several years of hard work. “Maybe our products are imperfect for the moment, but we think they will develop quickly through the fierce competition of the market to realize an outbreak of national made instruments in international market.
Project leaders of the mass spectrometers(GC-MS6800 gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer, ICP-MS 2000 inductive coupling plasma mass spectrometer, LC-MS 1000 liquid chromatogram mass spectrometer) Dr. Zhou Li, Dr. Pan Xiang, Ding Zhiguo all presented specific project reports from the view of the research and development process, technical advantages of product, innovative points, experimental date, users’ report and research outlook etc.
Under the escort of Skyray mass spectrometer project team, the committee experts had a visit of the mass spectrometer research laboratory and a detailed examination about the internal structure of the instrument. Then they personally examined the testing procedure and testing result of the sample mass spectrometer.
At last, the expert committee formed final comments by the combination of the reference of project report, technical material, on-site inspection, on-site consultation and serious discussion.
