The Returning Overseas Chinese Scholars Visited Skyray Instrument

During May 4 and May 8, 2010, “Training Course for the Returning Overseas Chinese Scholars” organized by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China and China Kunshan Business Incubator for Chinese Scholars was held in Kunshan. About 140 persons including entrepreneurial elites of “1000-elite Program”, selected candidates for “Project Supported by the Scientific Research Starting Foundation for Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars”, persons in charge of national business incubator for returned overseas Chinese scholars jointly built by provincial governments and ministries of China, persons from Human Resources and Social Security Departments of Provinces, Autonomous Regions and Municipalities, participated in the training course. Mr. Wang Xiaochu, Vice Minister of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China, Ms. Zhou Guangxia, Deputy Director of Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu Province, Mr. Wang Liping, Director of Organization Department of Suzhou and member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, Mr. Zhang Guohua, Secretary of CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee, Mr. Guan Aiguo, Vice Secretary of CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee and Mayor of Kunshan attended the opening ceremony.

    After the meeting, all members of the training course first visited Tsinghua Science Park. Standing in front of the architectural model of Skyray Analytical and Measuring Instrument Industrial Park, as one of the returned overseas Chinese scholars, Dr. Liu, Chairman of Skyray Instrument, talked with other present scholars about starting business and they shared success experience and pleasure with each other.

    Dr. Liu talked about the pioneering course of Skyray Instrument since its establishment in 1992 and our objective of making ourselves the champion of Chinese analytical instrument industry in spectroscopy, chromatography and mass spectrometry fields. SAMIIP has already been put into use in May, 2010 after 3 years’ preparation and construction. While 15% of our corporation’s output value has been injected into building an elite-gathering R&D team with 500 R&D personnel totally, it will be a strong background and driving force for sustainable growth of Skyray Instrument.

    Under the guidance of Dr. Liu, the visiting guests got to know better and more about Skyray Instrument and they all expressed admiration for the scale and developing potential of our corporation and Dr. Liu’s entrepreneurship. What’s more, seeing our national policies, they resolved to return to China to start business and contribute to the development of our national corporations.
