On September 3rd, 2010, “Symposium of Welding Material Quality Assurance and Testing Technology” organized by China Welding Association, was held in Skyray Building of Tsinghua Science Park. Mr. Li Chunfan, Deputy Secretary-General of China Welding Association and Ms. Yang Jingqiu, Director of Chemical Department of National Welding Consumables Quality Supervision and Inspection Center participated in the meeting. Company representatives from domestically well-known companies such as Tianjin Bridge Welding Materials Group Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Golden Bridge Welding Materials, as well as experts from laboratories of welding companies and QC departments were invited to the meeting. The year’s symposium was held with the aim of advancing testing technological progress of the welding industry in China and helping the companies to meet the requirements specified in the standards and the regulations.

Mr. Li Chunfan, Deputy Secretary-General of China Welding Association, was invited to introduce welding materials industry and notices during test plate welding. Mr. Li Chunfan introduced copper materials, welding materials and stainless steel in detail, and made an analysis of importing and exporting market of China’s steel. He also appraised our corporation’s development in recent years and gave his suggestions to the cooperation between welding association and Skyray Instrument.

Ms. Yang Jingqiu, Director of Chemical Department of National Welding Consumables Quality Supervision and Inspection Center made a special report of “Application of Modern Chemical Analysis in Welding Field”, introducing the chemical analytical method in welding material industry, especially testing procedure and methods using Atomic Absorption Spectrometer and Atomic Emission Spectrometer as well as testing examples.

Our Senior Technical Engineer Wu Min made a report of “Quality Assurance in Welding Industry and Analytical Technical Solutions” towards applications in welding industry and the technical difficulties, helping welding material manufacturers to solve quality control problems and meet the requirements specified in environment directives.
Later, the visitors were shown around SAMIIP and shown demonstration of on-site test by our technical engineers, who were explaining the analytical data and other precautions during test, which were favored by the visitors.
