Answer： As the count rate is low, better test result can be reached through prolonging time. Detailed accuracy is dependent on many factors, such as homogeneous material and surface roughness.

How to check if it is the right collimator according to the spectrum?
Answer： If Lay the collimator in a wrong way while initializing, initialization may not reach 1105 channel, and the peak spectrum will be abnormal. The operators should be more familiar with characteristic spectrum of every curve.

How about the peak channel when use Ag piece to pre-heat? What is the Ag content?
Answer： 1105; RoHS software is not applied in testing Ag. Just use the Ag to adjust the instrument. It is a tool for the instrument position, so do not consider the content.

What is the reason for displaying “material unidentified” in the process of testing? Why? How about the accuracy? How to judge?
Answer： Software is just an assistant tool for us to judge the sample; it is not subject to the software hint. Unidentified material hint relates to the complex material. The system cannot identify, so the operators can judge it. The accuracy depends on the reality of the sample. XRF is comparative analysis, and comparative testing.

How to make sure checking frequency and time of the standard sample? How to control the time for pre-heating?
Answer： Pre-heating: 15 to 30 minutes. Strictly, check every day.

How to check RoHS cordon?
Answer： Set the directive for implementing according to QC and customers’ requirements. RoHs directive suggests setting the standard as 600PPM (Cd is 60PPM), which is a more safe cordon.

How to solve the overlapping peaks with similar energy value?
Answer： It depends on how much you are familiar with every element spectrum. Generally, elements from S to Sn are excited to release K ray, that is, a higher main α peak with a lower β peak. Elements after Sn are excited to release L ray; usually two peaks with equal height or similar height will come out simultaneously; as one peak is influenced by the overlapping peak, please check whether other peaks come out; if not, it is not influenced.

It requires much for an operator, such as professional knowledge, long-time training. The peak borderline is more fixed and cannot be changed at will.
